Toadsuck Daze is an annual event for us now that the kids are old enough to enjoy it.  This year was even better with all the fun new stuff we did.  Now that I'm at First State Bank, I'm working on the Stuck on a truck event.  Toadsuck started for us on Tuesday night.  We went to Tucker Creek for the 'toad procurement' night.  Channel 7 news was out there to watch, but it was too cold for the toads to be out.  We went out in our backyard on Thursday night and caught four toads, one for Riley, Hayden and Addison plus a spare.  The toad races started on Friday night and all three kids were in the second group of twelve to race.  Hayden's toad took off and crossed the finish line first.  He got his name in the paper and qualified for the championship race on Sunday.  Unfortunately we didn't make it back on Sunday for the finals.

On Saturday I ran in the Toadsuck 5k.  It was the first time I've raced in a 5k in 10 years.   I worked at stuck on a truck for most of the morning and Shelley took to kids to ride the rides and play games. 

It was another fun toadsuck daze and this year we remembered to take a camera.
